How intent scoring works

  • 01 High-weight signals first. Pushes (10pts) and PRs (8pts) indicate active building — far stronger intent than a passive star (1pt).
  • 02 7-day rolling window. Only the most recent week of GitHub Archive events, refreshed every Monday. Not cumulative — so trending repos surface fast.
  • 03 Normalized to 0–100. The highest-signal repo each week scores 100. All others are proportional — so scores are comparable week-to-week.

What you can do with this

  • Spot emerging ecosystems before they're mainstream — early-stage repos with high intent scores are the best prospecting signals.
  • Benchmark your own repo — if you're not in the top 100, see what the repos above you are doing differently.
  • Get the dev contacts behind the signals — sign up to unlock names, emails, and companies for contributors to any repo in this list.
