What GitHub profile enrichment unlocks
When someone interacts with your GitHub repo — starring, forking, opening an issue, submitting a PR — you have their GitHub username. Nothing else.
GitHub enrichment turns that username into a complete outreach-ready contact:
| From GitHub | After enrichment |
|---|---|
@torvalds | linkedin.com/in/torvalds · Linux Foundation · Linus Torvalds · [email protected] |
| GitHub username only | Full professional identity |
| No email | Verified work email (90%+ deliverability) |
| No employer | Current company + title |
What LeadCognition enriches — field by field
LinkedIn profile URL — Resolved with multi-stage identity confirmation, not just name matching. Same-name collisions engineered out.
Current employer + title — From LinkedIn, verified against public professional signals. Not scraped — enriched from permissible data sources.
Verified work email — Current professional email at the developer’s employer. 90%+ deliverability. Available as an add-on (3 credits total with LinkedIn).
Confidence score — Every enrichment result includes a confidence score. Low-confidence results are not returned — you are not charged for misses.
Why GitHub-native enrichment is different
Most enrichment APIs start from an email or LinkedIn URL. You feed them a known contact, they return more data about that contact.
LeadCognition starts from a GitHub signal — a username you got from monitoring a repo. This means you can enrich leads you discovered from intent signals, not just leads you already knew about.
The sequence:
- Someone stars a repo in your category → LeadCognition detects the signal
- Their GitHub username is extracted
- Enrichment resolves LinkedIn + work email + employer
- Enriched contact is pushed to your CRM or outreach tool
No manual prospecting. No list-building. Signal → enriched contact in one pipeline.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I enrich a list of GitHub usernames in batch?
Yes. The batch endpoint accepts up to 500 usernames per request. Results are returned async via webhook or polling. Contact us for higher volume needs.
What’s the difference between enrichment and de-anonymization?
Same product, different framing. “De-anonymization” emphasizes the identity resolution angle (GitHub username → real human). “Enrichment” emphasizes the data added to a known signal. Both run the same multi-stage pipeline.
Does enrichment work for organizations as well as individuals?
Individual developer enrichment (GitHub user → LinkedIn + email) is the core use case. Company-level enrichment (GitHub org → company data) is available separately via the company intel endpoint.
What happens if no match is found?
No credits are charged. We return a no_match response with a confidence score below threshold. You’re never charged for a miss.
